With much apologies for my brief absence away from my computer, I spent the last two nights camping at the beautiful Ginnie Springs near Gainesville, Florida. I would have stayed with my party for the rest of the week but unfortunate obligations back in civilization beckoned.
While I was gone:
- Senate derails shamnesty bill, for now. Suck it, President Bush.
- A-Rod grand slams tonight keeping him in front of the homerun race with 22 for the season. The Yankees are starting to wakeup. At 22, a kid named Tyler Clippard who went to my high school has three wins in his first four starts as a major league pitcher. He’s going to be pivitol in the lineup, especially if Roger Clemens’ transition back doesn’t go as smoothly as predicted.
- Still, no one cares about hockey.
